Your Home's Energy
Based on our title you probably thought we were going to share tips on how to improve your home’s energy efficiency…well that isn’t the case! Perhaps someday we’ll write about that, but this article is focused on leveraging the principles of Feng Shui to maximize the energy you feel in your home.
We spend most of our time at home and your home’s energy absolutely contributes to your happiness and health. Our Cousin, Michelle, is a Feng Shui “master” and she shares her expertise through her practice “Practical Environments”. While there are many facets to Feng Shui, we asked Michelle to provide us with some very basic principles that anyone could implement in their home for instant energy improvement.
Here are three ideas for you:
Your bedroom is for intimacy, rest, and recovery. To accomplish this, it’s recommended to remove the TV, Exercise Equipment, and other distracting items to ensure all elements of your bedroom are in concert with its core role in your life. If for some reason you need your bedroom to be multipurpose, there are ways to use screens to separate daytime from nighttime functions.
Always keep your porcelain throne seats and bathroom doors closed. An open cover and visible drains literally pull your energy down the drain. Closing the cover and door keeps your positive energy circulating throughout your home.
Your stove/oven is a gift and essential to nourish your body. Keeping them clean at all times evokes positive energy in all you prepare and consume in your body. Showing your stove/oven gratitude by thoroughly cleaning after cooking brings positivity into your life and makes the next meal prep more pleasant.
We invite you to try these things to see for yourself the positive energy they can bring into your life! If you’d like to learn more about how to incorporate Feng Shui principles into your home feel free to give us a call or you can contact our Cousin, Michelle Skally Doilney, directly at PracticalEnvironments.com.
Your Home Team wants you to love where you live! If for some reason your current home isn’t your dream home, let’s find a way to make it so or find the right one for you!
Cheers!
