THE POWER OF DECLARING YOUR ANNUAL THEME WORD!
Have you heard of the Universal Law of Attraction? Since the beginning of time, it has been used by the happiest and most successful people in the world to draw into their lives what they want to happen in their life. It can be summed up simply as “what we think about comes about”.
After studying and semi-practicing the Law of Attraction for many years, we decided a few years ago to increase our commitment and focus on it by starting each year with a new theme word we wanted to maximize in our lives.
We’ve declared our theme words for 2023 and plan to be accountability partners as we check in with each other periodically to bring them into existence. Matt is choosing PRESENT. After all, the PRESENT is a GIFT! His intention is to use the past for learning and growth but to do a better job of not dwelling on it. Also, having achieved his Eagle Scout at the early age of 15, Matt follows the Scout Motto, “Be Prepared”, to the max. Sometimes, that’s a really good thing and sometimes it can distract him from living in and enjoying the moment. So Matt’s 2023 goal is minimizing excessive time spent thinking about the past and the future while simply AMPLIFYING and being in The Present!
Christina is choosing FIERCE as her 2023 theme word. One day while thinking about her theme word options she Googled the word and this definition really inspired her:
“A fierce female is a multi-faceted woman who works to empower herself and others. She isn’t afraid to acknowledge her fear, her doubts and insecurities; but she tries so hard to be brave and courageous. She works hard and is unflinching in the belief of her personal values”.
Sometimes Christina’s “Minnesota Nice” strength has influenced her in being too nice or patient when she’d really prefer to stand up to someone or for something. She’s going to keep taking the “high road”, but when the going gets tough, Christina is going to flex more of her “Fierce Muscle”.
If you declare a word and start every day with the intention of bringing it into your life, you’ll be amazed at what will happen. Your word will show up more and more in the most profound ways!
